I was born and raised in Japan. I like to notice quiet landscapes and good food, and sometimes I photograph them. I keep things unadorned and natural, setting down what stays with my heart.

GOEN is the embodiment of this search: to recognize the connections we often miss, and to give them form in a way that feels both honest and enduring.

About GOEN

GOEN is rooted in Engi—a Buddhist view that everything arises together with everything else. What seems simple exists because many threads meet. We call those threads "goen."

This project is a quiet practice in noticing those connections, caring for them, and giving them form in daily life—through photographs, writing, and small, thoughtfully designed objects.
